Obituary for Yanuel "Yanny" Fernandez
Athens – A Funeral Mass for Yanuel Fernandez of Athens is scheduled for 10:00 am, Friday, April 19, 2019 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Athens with Father Nolan Lowry officiating. Interment will follow at Athens Cemetery.
Yanny went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.
Yanuel Fernandez was born January 25th, 2013 in Athens, Texas son of Miguel Angel Fernandez and Elodia Pinedo Fernandez. He was a member of the St. Edward Catholic Church and a kindergarten student at Bel-Air Elementary School who loved his teachers Mrs. Moreno and Mrs. Hawkins. He was such an active little boy full of energy who loved playing outside. He was either playing with monster trucks, dinosaurs, or watching Paw Patrol along with a Coca Cola in his hands. Nothing brought him more happiness than having everything in his favorite color blue. Yanny was a sweet loving hyper energetic little boy. He was the light of every darkness and just that “little booger you can’t get out” He will be loved continuously by those who knew and loved him. He will never be forgotten Fly High Yanny!
He is survived by his loving parents Miguel and Elodia Fernandez of Athens; four siblings, Ulyses Lira, Jason “Yaya” Lira, Nicole “Kiki” Lira and Miguel Angel Fernandez, all of Athens and his nephews and nieces Ezra Lira, Levi Lira, Katalina Castaneda, Lilliana Fernandez and two on the way.
Serving as pallbearers will be Miguel Angel Fernandez, Miguel Angel Fernandez Jr., Ulyses Lira and Jason Lira.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm with a Rosary starting at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
